Catherine:"There’s absolute truth in our dispatches when we talked of the hardship, the challenges of the work to be done and the debilitating cold, however now we’re off the ice the thing I most notice we forgot to mention frequently was how much satisfaction and contentment there was in mastering the routine and testing the limit.As we rode back to Resolute on the skidoos and saw the distance and obstacles we’d covered it is with a sense of pride. Without hesitation I’d like to have another go given the opportunity". 

Arctic Experiences -

Pauline S - Life Changing - totally amazing - felt sorry to be back in 'reality'!!!!!!!!  100% total satisfaction.  Jim McNeill and Ian McCarthy were 100% professional at all necessary times and can honestly say that I felt 100% safe at ALL times.  I did not doubt the journey choices Jim made were absolute correct at the chosen times.

Brendon G - The trip was well organised and had a good mix of adventure and comfort level. I’d certainly recommend this trip for people looking for a polar experience.

Leaders: Jim’s experience in the field gives one a solid sense of comfort and underlying confidence, something that’s essential on a trip like this. Ian’s eagle eye and knowledge of the natural environment is exceptional, his helpful nature was extremely well appreciated.

Cheryl E - This was a very positive experience. Each day brought a variety of experiences. Both leaders worked extremely hard to keep us safe. They were aware of all potential dangers and planned ahead accordingly. They worked well as a leadership team and contributed to the happy and positive atmosphere.

Polar Training -

I think Ice Warrior have got the basic training in Norway just right. The practical parts of the course are complimented well by the class room work. Although the course is a lot of work, it’s well worth the experience. I had a great time.

Joining the Ice Warrior team was something that would give me the opportunity to take part in a truly mind-blowing journey, pushing the boundaries of human endurance & achieving what so few had.  With this training this would be possible.  An inspiration to all, a challenging, beneficial & valuable expedition.

"The weekend is as much a mental test as a physical one. It's hugely enjoyable finding out how you function when you are cold, tired and hungry. So often we curse our sat nav for making us drive effortlessly down the wrong road in complete warm and safe comfort. When you have a map and compass in your hand there is no one else to blame if it goes wrong. It's a weekend of making new friends, teamwork, personal growth, exploring your own limits - it's tough fun.  I most enjoyed the dynamic of the team, everyone had different roles, strengths and even these changed over the time we spent together. A couple of times I asked myself why had I come on the weekend but I'd do it again at the drop of a hat!"

"The weekend was hard work but superb fun. It was fantastic to be in the company of like-minded people with whom I shared mutual goals and who didn't think I was a barking mad eccentric (as people generally do!!) Ice Warrior is the most difficult, arduous mission I have ever set myself, and the fund-raising aspect is every bit as daunting as the physical task ahead. There's nowhere to hide from your weaknesses and the only solution is to face them head-on and steam-roll straight over them! 
I am more determined than ever to rise to the many challenges involved and I have no doubt whatsoever that I will do so, but I just know it's going to be really, really painful!"
